Job Overview

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Des Moines, Iowa
• Employment Type: Temporary
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Apply nursing process to manage and deliver patient care.
• Required to float across multiple campuses within Des Moines to like units.
• Must be willing to precept as needed (backfilling an RN that precepts).
• Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving).
• Limit of 1 day off request allowed between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Experience & Skills Required

• At least 2 years of catheterization (Cath) experience.
• Structural heart experience required.
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience strongly desired.
• Travel experience strongly encouraged.
• Preference for candidates with scrubber experience; strong circulators considered.

Certifications Required

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)

Licensing

• Must hold a valid Iowa nursing license.
• Compact license allowed.

Additional Requirements

• Work history/resume.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• License verification.
• Copy of required certifications.
• References highly preferred (may be required during onboarding).
• Proof of taxable address to verify local billing policy (one of the following):

  • Driver’s License
  • Current Utility Bill
  • Lease/Rental Agreement
  • Mortgage Statement/Bill
  • Homeowner’s or Renter’s Insurance Statement/Bill
  • Voter Registration
  • Bank Statement
  • Auto Insurance
  • Tax Return

Scheduling Notes

• Billable overtime after 40 hours/week.
• Required to float across campuses within close proximity.
