Travel RN Opportunity – Medical Surgical Unit

Location: Mayfield, Kentucky
Facility Type: 107-bed, Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital
Unit: Medical Surgical (3rd & 4th Floor)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Medical Surgical

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Possible float to like units
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, pediatric (peds patients optional)
• Patient Ratios: Up to 1:8 with PCA assistance
• EHR System: Meditech
• Number of Openings: 1

Required Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS, CPI/HWC/MAB (additional certifications may be required)
• Experience: 1-2 years
• Education: Valid RN license

Unit & Work Environment

• Number of Beds on Unit: 65
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: COPD, post-op joint care, diabetic population
• Personality Fit: Kind, caring, compassionate
• Dress Code: Any scrub color allowed; hoodies and scrubs with words other than facility name are not permitted

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a travel nurse
• Facility is the sole acute care provider in the region, serving multiple counties
• No call requirements and possibility to float to similar units
