Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Inpatient

Location

Adult ICU, Adult & Pediatric general units

Contract Length

32 weeks (approximately 8 months)

Schedule

12-hour night shifts
Every other weekend
No on-call duties
Schedule flexibility required
Must work 2 out of 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Day
Monday to Sunday coverage
No block schedules allowed

Requirements

Must hold RRT credential (CRT not accepted)
Minimum 1 year of experience
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (NRP required upon submission)
Prior travel experience preferred
Teaching hospital experience required
Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is mandatory
Detailed documentation of all specialties worked and NICU levels in work history
Complete work history required including bed count, EMR, facility type, and explanation of any employment gaps over 90 days

Additional Information

Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
Reliable transportation is essential; public transportation is not available in the area
Personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended
Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April

This position is ideal for experienced RRTs comfortable with night shifts, flexible scheduling, and working in a teaching hospital environment with Epic EMR.
