Description

Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)


Job Details

  • Shift Times:
    • Day Shift: 07:30 to 16:00
    • Late Shift: 08:30 to 17:00 (to complete cases)
  • Weekend Requirement: Cover call vacancy if needed
  • Floating: Potential floating to Cedar Crest
  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
  • Procedures:
    • EP diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in 2 EP labs
    • Primary EP scrub, implants, and ablations
    • Hemodynamic monitoring
    • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
    • Laser Assisted Procedures
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Scrubs Provided

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA approved
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA approved
  • CCI RCIS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)

Compliance & Background Checks

  • Background check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years (including SSN trace, counties, states, nationwide criminal search, sex offender search, DMV if applicable, education verification)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
  • HHS/OIG check upon hire
  • Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprinting results required within 90 days of start (full results required, no receipts)
  • Education verification for highest level relevant to specialty
  • Pennsylvania state-specific searches including Child Abuse Search, PATCH Search, Medicheck Search within required timeframes

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 2 months of start
  • Fit test questionnaire and fit mask test (not required for 100% remote non-clinical)
  • Immunizations and titers:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates not required)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or vaccination series
    • Hepatitis B: positive antibody titer or completed vaccine series (declinations not accepted)
    • Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series
  • Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (no instant tests accepted)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination with masking policy adherence (flu season Oct-May)
  • Respirator medical clearance annually (for candidates starting 04/07/2025 and beyond)

Competency & Testing Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for RNs) - passing score 80%
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - passing score 88%, updated annually
  • Basic Dysrhythmia pass/fail testing required annually (88% passing score, max 3 attempts)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual)
  • State license verification and NURSYS verification prior to start and upon expiration
  • References: Minimum 2 professional references from employment within last 12 months
  • Employment application with 7 years of complete work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Photo for badge (new candidates starting 3/31/2025 and later)
  • Affidavit for provisional employment prior to start
  • COVID and flu vaccine declination forms if applicable

Notes

  • Candidate must be prepared for potential floating and weekend call coverage.
  • All background checks, health documents, and certifications must be current and uploaded as required for clearance.
  • Compliance with Pennsylvania-specific state requirements is mandatory.
  • Scrubs are provided on assignment.
