Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER RN) - South Carolina

Location

  • Shift Options:
    • 4 shifts of 12 hours (4x12s) or
    • 3 shifts of 12 hours (3x12s), Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
  • Patient Ratios: Based on acuity
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-call Requirement: No
  • Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs and between like units/sister facilities

Experience & Licensing Requirements

  • Minimum Experience: 2 years
  • First-time travelers accepted: Yes
  • License: South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
  • Certifications Required:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Certifications Preferred:
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Note: TNCC is not required for ER RNs
  • Special Requirements: Charge Nurse experience preferred

    • Primary source verification required
    • SC RN license processing times vary; walk-through (temporary) license option available under certain conditions

    • Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days; follow-up required for positive results
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
    • Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination required
    • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters if low titer
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start; no instant tests accepted
  • Seasonal Vaccinations:
    • Flu vaccine or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Aug 1 - Apr 30)
    • COVID-19 vaccines not required but highly preferred; vaccination records or declination form must be uploaded
  • Additional Health Documentation:
    • TB Questionnaire annually
    • CBC and Biochem Panel required for Sterile Processing Techs only
