Job Opportunity: IMU Registered Nurse (RN)

Location:

• Not specified (Centra Lynchburg General Hospital)

Contract Length:

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Start Dates:

• December 15 or January 12 only

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts ending on Saturdays
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available
• Unit tries to schedule 2 out of 3 weekends per month, but this may vary based on unit needs
• Block scheduling no longer available, but weekend-only requests may be considered
• Must be able to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas holiday time off requests will not be approved)

Patient Population:

• Med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients
• Neurology patients, including CVA (stroke) patients

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Prior travel experience required for all positions
• Active VA or Compact nursing license required at start
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Cerner electronic health record experience preferred
• Locals within 60 miles are not accepted
• Must submit work history with explanations for any gaps over 90 days, skills checklist, and nursing license verification
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• COVID/Flu declinations accepted if approved

Additional Information:

• Position is at a teaching hospital; frequent interaction with students and new hires expected
• Team members, including travelers, are expected to support a positive learning environment
• Client may cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance due to census fluctuations
• Only one assignment allowed, no renewals
