Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Texas (Victoria)

Position Details

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Outpatient PT focus with experience in ADLs and stroke rehab helpful)
• Location: Victoria, Texas
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Facility Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend coverage per month
• Start Date: ASAP, ideally before or by Christmas
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Locals: Accepted
• License: Texas SLP License required; proof of license must be provided at time of submission
• Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS
• Call-Out Policy: Must provide more than 24 hours' notice for any call-outs
• Time Off: Cannot take every holiday off; Return to Office (RTO) only approved at time of submission, no approvals after offer

Work Environment & Attire

• Attire: Any solid color scrubs; close-toed shoes required
• Parking: Free parking available
• Mileage Reimbursement: None

Special Notes

• This is an inpatient rehab setting but requires outpatient PT skills.
• Experience with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and stroke rehabilitation is helpful.
• Amp Care experience preferred but not required.

Required Credentials & Documentation

• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Texas SLP License (must provide proof at submission)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Background Checks:

  • Standard 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, and sex offender registry
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (annual)
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask (any mask acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (special rules if past positive)
  • Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within 1 year
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (required during flu season: Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination (proof required)
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (for RNs and Medication Aides)
  • Profession-specific competency exams as applicable
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
• Other:

  • Emergency contact form required prior to start
  • Skills checklist required annually
  • Employment verification of most recent employer required

This position offers a structured schedule with weekend coverage once per month and requires a minimum of one year of experience. It is suitable for both first-time travelers and local candidates.
