Job Requirements

• Experience:

  • 2-3 years of staff CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit) experience required.
  • Trauma Level One experience required.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Epic electronic medical record (EMR) experience required.
  • Competency with immediate postoperative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in ICU.
  • Experience with high acuity patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Proficient with ventilators, arterial lines (a-lines), spinal drains, hemodynamic monitoring, ECG interpretation and monitoring, temporary pacemakers, and vasoactive/inotropic drip titrations.

• Additional Requirements:

  • Navy blue scrubs required.
  • Competency test required within 24 hours of submission.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Work Environment

• High acuity ICU setting focused on cardiac and vascular surgery postoperative care.
• Trauma Level One facility.

This position is ideal for experienced CVICU nurses with strong critical care skills and Epic EMR proficiency seeking a travel assignment in a Level One Trauma center.
