Job Opportunity: Travel Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

Location: Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Weekend shifts only: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 7 AM - 7 PM
• Call required, including Saturday and Sunday nights
• Possible floating to outpatient imaging center
• No blocked scheduling or 48-hour weekly guarantees
• Work with 5 Ultrasound Units
• EMR system: Cerner

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Credentials:

  • ARDMS or ARRT for Ultrasound vascular registry required
  • Vascular registry (RVT) required
  • BLS certification required
• General ultrasound studies experience required
• Echo (cardiac adult sonography) experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate competency in sonographic procedures including:

  • Abdominal
  • Vascular
  • Cardiac
  • OB (obstetrical) procedures
• Proficient in scanning small parts (thyroid, breast, scrotum)
• Experience with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations preferred

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AMA school
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• Maintains a State License as a general radiographer

Responsibilities

• Provide timely diagnostic ultrasound services to inpatient and outpatient populations
• Perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms
• Perform small parts scanning and ultrasound-guided procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols

This position requires flexibility with weekend shifts and call responsibilities, as well as the ability to float to outpatient imaging centers.
