EEG/Neurophysiology Technician Position

Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Department: Neurodiagnostics
Duration: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks) with potential to renew depending on staffing
Start Date: ASAP

Schedule & Hours

• Shift: 4:30 PM – 2:00 AM (9-hour shifts)
• Days: Monday to Friday, with rotating weekend on-call shifts shared with 2-3 other technologists
• On-call: Yes, weekend and holiday rotation (4:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday) with 3-4 other techs
• Holidays: Yes, on-call rotation required

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of EEG/Neurophysiology experience
• Certifications: Not required, but prior EEG training/knowledge is necessary
• Proximity: Must live within 30 minutes of the facility

Equipment & Systems

• Equipment: Natus with Neuroworks
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Patient EEG setups and documentation, including history and EEG reading annotations
• Follow-up documentation and patient education
• Consistent communication and updates with clinical teams and operational leaders
• Main focus on Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)

• On-call during business hours is supported by teams; weekend on-call is individual
