Registered Nurse (Endoscopy RN) - Travel/Contract
Location: South Bend, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Endoscopy RN
- Shift: 4x10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
- Call Requirements:
- 1 night per week
- Every 3rd weekend on call
- Holiday Requirement: 1 on-call if needed
- Weekend Requirement: Call every 3rd weekend
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
- Charting System: Cerner Surginet
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Parking: Free
- Locals: Not accepted; must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
Experience & Certifications
- Required Experience: Minimum 1 year
- First-timers: Accepted
- Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Additional Requirements
- Experience:
- OR nurses must have some endoscopy experience
- ICU nurses must have conscious sedation experience
- Background Check:
- Required within 90 days of start
- Must cover last 7 years and all states lived/worked in
- Includes SSN trace, state criminal checks, national criminal, sex offender registry, and motor vehicle report (for phlebotomy)
- Education Verification: Required (diploma or transcripts)
- Physical Exam: Required
- TB Testing: Negative 2-step PPD or QGold within 1 year (T-Spot not accepted)
- Immunizations:
- Rubeola (Measles) - titer or 2 vaccines
- Mumps - titer or 2 vaccines
- Rubella - titer or 2 vaccines
- Hepatitis B - titer, series, or declination
- Varicella - titer or 2 vaccines
- Drug Testing: Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant accepted if needed)
- Flu Vaccination: Required or approved medical/religious declination prior to start
Facility Specific Requirements
- Completion of facility-required modules (~8-10 hours) prior to start
- Submission of a clear, passport-style photo for badge
- Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved medical exemption documentation
- Flu vaccine or approved declination documentation
