Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina

Job Details
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele)

- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in MS/Tele
- First-timers Accepted: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: No
- Floating: Yes, within scope and between like units
- Block Scheduling: Open to accommodation
- Locals Accepted: No (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Return to Work Restrictions: Per manager discretion
- Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; after that, all contracted hours are guaranteed
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Military
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Military
- NIH Stroke Certification - Must be updated annually
Competency & Testing Requirements
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required and must be renewed annually
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Required for awareness; candidates have 3 attempts to pass with 80% or higher
- Acknowledgment of Pass/Fail Testing: Required for multiple units including Med Surg, Tele, ICUs, Step Down, etc.
Background Checks & Verifications
- Background check required within 6 months of start (includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable)
- Education verification or diploma/transcript required
- Convictions within the last year or active cases will disqualify
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year, signed by physician, NP, or PA-C; updated annually
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Within last 10 years; no declinations accepted for new hires
- Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray: Within 1 year of start; annual renewal not required but TB screening form must be completed annually
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; no declinations accepted for new hires
- Hepatitis B: Vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days required
- Flu Vaccine: Required year-round; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility-approved documentation; must be updated annually
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required but accepted if available
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Must comply with return staff policy: must be gone 1 year before returning as a traveler
- System limits to 2 contracts (can extend once), then must be gone 6 months before returning
- Photo for badge required (passport-style, no large earrings, face piercings, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless religious)

- Conflict of Interest Questionnaire
- Staff Call Out Acknowledgement

- Flu Policy (review only)
- Completion of mandatory orientation and modules prior to start
- Background and health documents must be uploaded and validated before start
Additional Notes
- Locals within 50 miles of the main campus are not accepted for this travel position
- Floating between like units may be required to meet facility needs
- Candidates must provide interview availability upon submission
