Job Opportunity: Radiology Technician (Travel)

Location: Chardon, Ohio
Facility: Geauga Medical Center, University Hospitals

Job Description

• Perform general x-ray procedures
• Work in a Level 3 trauma center
• Experience with OR, fluoroscopy, portables
• Serve inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and emergency department (ED) settings

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Credentials & Compliance

Licensure & Certification

• Valid permanent professional license (no temporary licenses accepted)
• ARRT certification required

Health & Immunizations

• COVID-19 vaccine proof preferred but not required
• Positive MMR titers within last 15 years; booster protocol applies if low titer
• Fit test completed within 1 year of start (specific approved masks)
• Hepatitis B: proof of full series, partial series with declination, or positive titers within 15 years
• Varicella: positive titers within last 15 years; booster protocol applies if low titer
• Tdap vaccination within past 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Influenza vaccine proof or approved medical/religious exemption (optional)
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA test within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest x-ray and TB questionnaire required
• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start confirming ability to work without restrictions

Background & Verification

• Ohio fingerprinting and criminal background checks compliant with FCRA (requirements differ based on length of Ohio residency)
• UHS I-9 attestation confirming eligibility to work
• Social Security trace and National criminal background check within 6 months prior to start
• OIG, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC exclusion checks within 6 months prior to start
• Drug screen (10-panel) within 60 days prior to start (no instant tests; lab report required)
• Education verification (highest level, including equivalency for international education)
• Employment verification for last 5 years through third-party verification
• Competency exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start
• Core competencies training (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission) completed within 1 year prior to start
• Skills checklist (clinical specific) completed within 1 year prior to start (initial hire only)

Additional Requirements

• Resume including education and work history, plus 2 professional references within last 2 years
• Submission packet and job application completed
• Badge photo (headshot, plain background, JPEG)
• Driver’s license or state ID (non-expired)
• Completion certificate for UHS safety and compliance training modules
