Job Opportunity: CVT / EP Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Shift: Monday-Friday, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 40 hours/week
• Cases Required:

  • Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
  • Permanent Pacemaker Insertions (PPI)
  • Pulmonary Artery (PA) Insertion
  • Right Heart Catheterization
  • Temporary Pacemakers
  • Conduction Studies
  • Insertion/Programming of AICDs
  • Pacemaker Insertion
• On-call: No
• Weekend Work: No
• Floating: Possible floating to like units

Requirements

Experience & Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-timers accepted if they have previous relevant experience
• Required Licensure: South Carolina QRSA
• Required National Certifications: ARRT or CCI
• Required Certifications: BLS & ACLS
• Radiation Badge: Required and must be provided by the agency (facility does not provide)

Certifications Details

• ACLS: AHA only, required for Cath Lab Techs and certain critical care units
• BLS: AHA only, required for all clinical staff
• Other Certifications: PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, IV Certification (if applicable)
• Certifications must not be expiring within 30 days of start date; renewals or scheduled courses required if close to expiration

Compliance & Documentation

Background Checks

• Annual background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
• Must include: SSN Trace, Statewide, National Criminal, Sex Offender Registry, FACIS 3, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG
• Education verification or diploma/transcripts as placeholder if verification pending

Health & Immunizations

• Initial physical exam, updated annually
• Fit test for N95 mask (specific models required), renewed annually
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination form
• Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or chest X-ray if positive history
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Required immunizations or positive titers for: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• COVID vaccination not required but highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated

Facility Specific

• Completion of orientation modules prior to start (approx. 2 hours)
• Clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Upload COVID and flu vaccine documentation into facility system
• Facility allows calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Additional Notes

• Local radius: 60 miles
• Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis
• All required documents (I9, Driver’s License/State ID, Social Security Card, etc.) must be submitted and verified
• Proof of 2 clinical references required
• Work history verification of last 3 clinical employers required
• Radiation badge process may take 5-7 days; candidates cannot start without it on the floor
• Candidates with facial hair are encouraged to shave for fit testing or provide their own PAPR
