Travel RN Opportunity – Orthopedics and Med Surg Unit

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky

Unit Information

• Unit: Ortho (30 beds) and Med Surg (37 beds)
• Patient Ratios: Typically 6:1
• Staffing: Utilizes PCTs and SNEs in tech roles; Unit Secretary (US) available during day shift
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: Month increments (4 weeks); full-time requires 4 weekend shifts per month (e.g., 3 Saturdays and 1 Sunday)
• Floating Policy: Float to inpatient units, assist with tasks in CCU and ED
• Procedures: Some bedside procedures performed by MDs, less common than in CCU/ED

Requirements

• Certifications: BLS required
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Skills: Positive attitude, willingness to work hard, ability to manage patient load, teamwork, and patient-centered care
• Requested Skill Set: RN, LPN, PCT

Dress Code

• Scrub top and bottoms required
• No fleece, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweaters
• Long sleeve shirt under scrub top or scrub jacket permitted
• No shoes with holes, no denim, no camo
