Job Opportunity: Cardiac Progressive Care Stepdown Nurse (Travel)

Location

• Miller 3 - PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
• Cardiac Progressive Care Stepdown Tele/Surgical Focus

Contract Length

• 6 weeks

Schedule

• Monday to Sunday
• No block schedules
• Must work 2 out of 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in the unit
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS must be obtained prior to start)
• PCCN preferred
• Recent (within last year) Level 1 trauma experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (mandatory)
• Cardiothoracic and vascular experience required
• Post-op day 1 open/closed heart surgery experience required
• Must have cardiac experience
• Candidates without A-Line experience may be considered if they have open heart (CABG) post-op day 1 experience

Additional Information

• Must be willing to float to similar units
• IVS (Interventional Vascular Services) to offer
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended (public transportation not accessible)
• Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November to April

This position is ideal for experienced cardiac progressive care nurses comfortable with a fast-paced, specialized environment and flexible scheduling.
