Radiology Medical Imaging Technologist I

Location: Coos Bay, Oregon

Job Description

• Perform a variety of medical imaging exams for patients of all ages.
• Apply principles, theories, and techniques of the relevant imaging modality to provide reliable test results.
• Provide daily leadership of patient and department workflow.
• Scenic commute options from nearby towns (Reedsport, Bandon, Coquille, Myrtle Point, North Bend) within 30 minutes.

• Proficient with personal computers and relevant software programs.
• Ability to operate applicable office equipment.
• Effective interpersonal skills for interdepartmental and public interaction.
• Maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.

Education, Certifications, and Licenses

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in relevant modality.
• Current Oregon license or recent graduate with a valid temporary Oregon permit prior to ARRT registry; registry must be obtained within one year.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Image Wisely pledge certificate (must obtain within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter).
• Image Gently pledge certificate (must obtain within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience

• Three years of previous hospital experience preferred.
• New graduates and candidates with less experience will be considered.
