Radiology Medical Imaging Technologist I
Location: Coos Bay, Oregon
Employment Type: Permanent
Job Description
- Perform a variety of medical imaging exams for patients of all ages.
- Apply principles, theories, and techniques of the relevant imaging modality to provide reliable test results.
- Provide daily leadership of patient and department workflow.
- Scenic commute options from nearby towns (Reedsport, Bandon, Coquille, Myrtle Point, North Bend) within 30 minutes.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Proficient with personal computers and relevant software programs.
- Ability to operate applicable office equipment.
- Effective interpersonal skills for interdepartmental and public interaction.
- Maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Consistent and punctual attendance.

Education, Certifications, and Licenses
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in relevant modality.
- Current Oregon license or recent graduate with a valid temporary Oregon permit prior to ARRT registry; registry must be obtained within one year.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Image Wisely pledge certificate (must obtain within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter).
- Image Gently pledge certificate (must obtain within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience
- Three years of previous hospital experience preferred.
- New graduates and candidates with less experience will be considered.

- This is a union position with pay rates based on years of experience.
