Registered Nurse (ER) - Travel/Contract

Job Details

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - preferred

Required Skills

• Rapid assessment and triage
• Trauma management
• Advanced life support in various medical conditions
• Expert in IV access and other interventions

On-Call Requirement

• No on-call required

Submission Requirements

• Candidate profile (work history)
• Specialty-specific skills checklist
• Minimum 2 manager/charge references (within past year)
• RN license verification (recently pulled)
• Copies of all required certifications

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification

Health Documents

• Physical exam (initial and updated annually)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (preferred, within 10 years)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD within 12 months or Qgold/Tspot within 2 years)
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug testing (10 panel within 30 days of start, updated annually)
• Seasonal Flu vaccination/documentation (required during flu season, exemptions require agency approval)
• COVID vaccination or declination required

Facility Specific

• Photo for badge prior to clearance
• Background drug screen consent form prior to start
• Non-disclosure of confidential information form prior to start
• Parking pass form prior to start
• Care Learning Modules (must be completed by Sunday night prior to start date)

• Scrub color: Wine
• Color blind testing and competency exams as required
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
• ReadySet Contractor Form and surveys may be required
• Cerner EMR training modules are NOT required for this facility
