Registered Nurse (RN) - Temp Position

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the hospital (local candidates not accepted).
• Patient ratio: 1:4-5.
• Must have EPIC experience and be comfortable using it.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of previous Stepdown experience required.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Must have active Illinois RN license at time of submission.
• Iowa RN license also required; if not active, proof of application for IA single state or compact RN license must be provided.
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
• Submission documents:

  • Work history/resume
  • Skills checklist (completed within 1 year)
  • License verification
  • Copy of required certifications
  • One supervisory reference
  • Proof of taxable address (one of the following):

    • Driver’s License
    • Current Utility Bill
    • Lease/Rental Agreement
    • Mortgage Statement/Bill
    • Homeowner’s or Renter’s Insurance Statement/Bill
    • Voter Registration
    • Bank Statement
    • Auto Insurance
    • Tax Return

Work Conditions & Notes

• Night shift block: 16 hours.
• Holiday work required: Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, or Thanksgiving).
• Limited time off allowed between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26.
• Overtime and call back pay multipliers apply.

State License

• Illinois (active required)
• Iowa (active or proof of application required)
• Compact license allowed

Additional Information

• Must be comfortable with EPIC EMR system.
• Patient care involves stepdown unit experience.
• Travelers must be prepared for same-day interviews.
