Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Technologist

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Monday through Wednesday
• On-call Friday through Sunday every 3-4 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience required
• ARRT MR certification required (ARMRIT not accepted)
• Inpatient and outpatient imaging
• Types of scans include:

  • Brain (Perfusion, Functional, Spectroscopy)
  • Body (Enterography, Defecography, Musculoskeletal)
  • Breast (including breast biopsy)
  • Spine

Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT MR certification required
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP certifications may be required depending on unit
• State license verification required (Missouri or Compact License applicable)
• NURSYS verification required (as applicable)
• NIH Stroke Certification required for ICU, Interventional Radiology, ED, MS/Tele, PCU, Stepdown units
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required for Behavioral Health and ER (for RNs and techs)
• Tech certifications preferred but not required (e.g., Histology Tech, Histotechnologist)

Background & Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check within 12 months required, including:

  • SSN trace
  • 7-year county residence/work history
  • Nationwide search
  • Sex offender search
• Missouri-specific background searches required prior to start
• Compliance with facility disqualifying hit summary review

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health (Aya standard)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD)
• TB questionnaire at start and annually
• Drug screening within 12 months of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• COVID vaccination preferred (initial series)
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (fit testing done onsite during orientation)
• Fit mask testing required annually; no PAPR/CAPR allowed at this facility
• Fit test must be clean-shaven for this facility

Orientation & Training

• Completion of facility-specific modules required annually via LMS platform
• AbioMed Impella Online Training required for ICU/CCU and Cath Lab staff (completed outside LMS)
• Post-start orientation checklists required depending on setting (acute care, home health, hospice, LTC, non-clinical)
• Glucometer assessment during orientation for RNs and Anesthesia Techs (with some exceptions)

Documentation & Other Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• I9 and E-Verify documentation required
• Residency declaration form if working on a compact license from a different state
• Confidentiality and security agreement and standards of ethical conduct must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Photo for badge (passport style, plain background) required
• Skills checklist required
• References required for new candidates (not extensions)

• Background and credentialing reviews are strict and must meet facility standards
• Onsite fit testing and orientation are mandatory parts of the onboarding process
