Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology - Travel/Contract
Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Unit Details
- Weekend Schedule: Every Other Weekend
- Call: None
- Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Minimum Experience: 1 year (first-time travelers accepted)
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Holidays:
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler expected to work it
- If 2 major holidays fall, traveler expected to work both
- If 3 major holidays fall, traveler expected to work 2 of them
- Major Holidays Include:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
Compliance & Screening
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays result in 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit before manager approval
- Locals accepted at same rate
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours depends on contract length (e.g., 14 weeks = 14 hours NBO)
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience in specialty
- First-time travelers accepted
Certifications & Licenses
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for RN’s/RRT’s/CRT’s in relevant specialties
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required except for Microbiology Techs and Med Techs
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for RN’s in PACU/Pre-op/Endo/CSU (if pediatric patients accepted), ER
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required as per specialty guidelines
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Online course required within a few months of hire (no re-certification required)
- Tech Certification Verification: National allied license verification within 30 days prior to start
- State License: Must be valid and verified within 30 days prior to start (Georgia license required for CRTs & RRTs)
- NURSYS Verification: Annual verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days prior to start
- NIH Stroke Certification: As required by specialty
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs and LVNs by agency)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates; alternative assessment available for blood collection tasks)
- Competency Exam (required for Nursing and Allied by agency)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Telemetry, ICU, ER, Cardiac step-down, etc.)
- Up to 3 attempts allowed; failure on third attempt results in cancellation
Health & Background Requirements
- Background Check: Comprehensive background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification
- Physical Exam: Required by agency within 1 year of start
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; instant drug screen acceptable under certain conditions
- TB Testing: PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months of start; if positive, negative chest x-ray within 6 months required
- TB Questionnaire: Required annually for all candidates
- Vaccinations & Titers:
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer; boosters allowed post-start if eligible
- Hepatitis B: Series, surface antibody titer, or signed declination (declination required if titer negative)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters allowed post-start if eligible
- Flu Vaccine: Required or declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- Additional for Privileging Specialties (CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant, RNFA):
- Additional compliance including vaccine declination forms, Tdap, Hepatitis B specifics, and TB testing
Facility Policies & Documents
- Code of Conduct and Acknowledgement must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- Dress and Professional Appearance Policy must be reviewed
- Privileging candidates have additional compliance checklists and documentation requirements
References & Work History
- Two clinical references required by agency (not required by client)
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months required
- Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
