Job Opportunity: Dietary Services - Travel/Contract

Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 8-hour shifts with flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
  • Schedule: No weekend requirements (locals only)
  • License: Must be a licensed Registered Dietitian (RD) able to practice in Georgia
  • Experience: Pediatric experience required, specifically with TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition), EN (Enteral Nutrition), and Medical Nutrition Therapy

Required Credentials & Documentation

  • Proof of identity (Government-issued photo ID)
  • Social Security Card
  • Valid professional license (RD license for Georgia)
  • Background checks including SSN trace, statewide, county, nationwide, sex offender, and 7-year criminal history
  • Drug testing: 10-panel plus nicotine/cotinine test within 60 days of start
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
  • Immunizations and health screenings:
    • Tdap vaccine (no declinations accepted; religious/medical exemptions require approval)
    • Negative TB test (Qgold/Tspot within 3 months; chest x-ray if positive)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
    • Hepatitis B: Proof of immunity or declination
    • Flu vaccine: Mandatory for all candidates for the current season; no exemptions accepted

Certifications & Training

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only, required for most travelers except some specialties
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA only, required for RNs, LPNs, Clinical Nurses, International Nurses, and Respiratory Care Professionals
  • National certifications relevant to specialty (if applicable)
  • OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission annual training or attestation required

Competencies

  • Pediatric Pharmacology competency exam required for all nursing staff
  • Facility-specific competency exams required

Additional Requirements

  • Signed Confidentiality and Security Agreement prior to start
  • Facility-specific orientation and safety manual acknowledgment
  • Proof of residency declaration if working on a compact license
  • References: Two clinical references or hospital evaluations required
  • Completed employment application/resume
  • Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
