Job Opportunity: Long Term Care Travel Nurse (RN/LPN)

Location

• Long Term Acute Care Facility (100 beds)
• Patient care focus: Geriatric, Short Term, Post Acute, LTC, and Tracheostomy patients

Employment Type

• Travel Nurse (Contract)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (includes 30-minute paid break if staying on unit)
• Weekend and holiday work required
• No on-call, no block scheduling, no self-scheduling
• First week does not guarantee hours

Patient Ratio & Support

• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:20
• Nurse Practitioner on duty Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Ancillary assistance: 9 on days, 7 on nights

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of LTAC experience required
• Strong preference for experience in 400+ bed or Level 2 trauma facilities
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred; strong first-time travelers may be considered
• BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Must pass a pre-assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) test with a minimum score of 80%
• Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Must maintain primary commitment to this contract above other work
• Compliance documents due 7 days before start date

• COVID vaccine and flu shot are NOT required; if declined, mask must be worn at all times except during meals
• Nurses are required to float within their competencies as needed
• Scheduling flexibility and complete availability are mandatory and non-negotiable

Orientation

• Held every Wednesday in Tupelo
