Job Opportunity: Travel Nurse (Winter Support)

Contract Details

• Length: 8 weeks (interpreted as weeks)
• Start Dates: Weekly, on Mondays
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)
• Schedule Requirements:

  • Every other weekend required
  • Weekend definition: Fri, Sat, Sun for night shifts
  • No time off allowed during the 8-week assignment
• Orientation: Weekly orientation provided

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Epic experience required
  • Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required if no prior travel experience
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS preferred
• Testing:

  • Day one pass/fail testing administered
  • Relias practice tests available prior to testing

Work Environment

• Patient Ratios: Between 1:3 and 1:5
• Floating:

  • Expected to float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units
  • Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks during shifts; multiple floats per shift possible but rare
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs allowed
• Additional Info:

  • No local candidates accepted
  • IVS (Intravenous Sedation) offered
  • Travelers do not need to separate from current employer for this assignment unless permanent or per diem
