ICU RN Travel Opportunity - Southwest Indiana

Location: Sullivan, Indiana
Unit: Stepdown ICU (Acuity Care Unit)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Schedule:

• Self-scheduling used but finalized by manager
• Block scheduling allowed but not guaranteed
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No call or standby required

Unit Details

• Total beds: 22 (17 MedSurg/Telemetry, 3 LDRP, 2 ICU)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1 to 1:2 on both shifts
• Nurse aides: 2 on days, 1 on nights
• Respiratory equipment: Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP
• Telemetry: Nurses must read and interpret cardiac strips (no monitor techs)
• Floating: May float to MedSurg/Telemetry side if needed
• Dress code: Steel gray scrubs

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

• Critical drips (all common drips)
• DKA on insulin drips
• Overdoses and suicide ideations
• Potential MedSurg patients as needed
• Other common diagnoses: Sepsis, COPD, CHF, Pneumonia, abdominal pain, minor surgical cases, SBO, COVID-19

Requirements & Preferences

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience within specialty required
• Travel experience preferred
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; PALS preferred
• RNs must be able to titrate drips

Orientation & Support

• Unit-specific orientation: 2 days (3 shifts of 12 hours)
• Manager available Monday-Friday
• House supervisor available nights and weekends
