Med/Surg Nurse Opportunity

Location: Nacogdoches, Texas
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Options

• 12-hour Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 12-hour Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Hours & Scheduling

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: As needed within skillset (floats from ICU, Women’s Center)

Facility & Unit Details

• Total Beds: 155 (2nd floor: 38 beds, 3rd floor: 32 beds)
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy blue

Patient Population & Common Diagnoses

• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Pneumonia
• Sepsis
• Cardiac conditions
• End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)
• Post-op bariatrics
• Orthopedics
• ENT
• General surgery

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience (required for AZ and CA orders)
• BLS certification required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience required
