Med Surg/Tele RN (MS2) - Show Low, Arizona

Job Overview

• Location: Show Low, Arizona (White Mountains region)
• Facility Type: Regional hospital with MedSurg and Telemetry capabilities
• Unit Size: 24 beds (MedSurg with Telemetry on all beds)
• Patient Population: Adults only (Pediatrics assigned to permanent staff)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

  • Day: 1:5
  • Night: 1:6
  • Pediatrics (permanent staff): 1:4 (based on acuity)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
• Preferred Certification:

  • PALS
• Strong skills in Neurology and Cardiology required

Work Environment & Support

• EMR System: Sunrise Allscripts
• Support Staff on Unit: Telemetry techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
• Nurse Managers conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care
• Float assignments include all MedSurg units and ICU (handling MedSurg overflow patients)
• Hospitalist coverage 24/7
• Respiratory Therapist available 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• No IV team on site

• Scrub color: Any color except all black
• Scrubs are not provided
• 36-hour work guarantee with up to 3 cancellations allowed
