Registered Nurse (Telemetry RN 2) - Travel/Contract

Location: Latrobe, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
• Specialty: Telemetry RN Level 2

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (front and back of card)
• BLS (Basic Life Support), preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (front and back of card)
• NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - required for ER & Behavioral Health units

Licensure & Verification

• State License primary source online verification
• National Tech Certification as applicable (for allied professionals)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form (required prior to start)
• Background Check within 30 days of start, including:

  • Social Security Trace and County searches for last 7 years
  • Nationwide and Sex Offender searches
  • Pennsylvania Statewide Patch Certificate (specific PA background check)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results (FBI Fingerprinting) with specific procedures for processing and pickup

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year plus annual TB questionnaire
• Annual TB Questionnaire for past positive TB
• Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or accepted declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1)

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Competency Exam (minimum 80% or meet/exceed Angoff score)
