Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract) - Idaho, Grangeville

Job Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Unit: Mostly Medsurg float to Labor & Delivery (L&D) with occasional L&D patients (a couple per month)
  • Call: Required
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery
  • Licensure: Idaho or compact nursing license required

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense approved
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense approved
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – as required
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as required
  • State Nursing License Verification (Primary Source Verification)
  • NURSYS Verification (for all RNs)

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Proof of I9 or Attestation
  • Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
  • Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
  • Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
  • Background Checks:
    • 7-year criminal background check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM check (within 30 days of start and updated for renewals)
    • HHS/OIG check (within 30 days of start and updated for renewals)
  • Transcript or diploma (if applicable)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • Competency Exams (as applicable)
  • Core Competency Testing or HIPAA form (for subcontractors)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Initial physical exam, updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination or declination
  • Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually; if past positive, clear chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire
  • Immunizations or titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
    • Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or declination form (required annually during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination series or declination form

Additional Requirements

  • Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
  • Performance evaluation if worked with the agency over 1 year
  • Employment application/resume
  • Skills checklist for applicable unit (updated annually)
  • Internal evaluation if worked with the agency over 2 years

This position requires flexibility to float between Medsurg and Labor & Delivery units, with call responsibilities and adherence to comprehensive credentialing and health compliance standards.
