Job Description

• Position: Mammography Technologist
• Shift: First shift with rotating hours between 08:00-16:30, 08:30-17:00, and 09:30-18:00
• Holiday weeks: 4 days of 10-hour shifts
• Occasional Saturdays required
• Mobile work hours variable between 06:30-19:00
• Primary work location: Breast Center with possible support at a satellite location
• Work involves screening and diagnostic mammography at Breast Center; satellite location work is screening only
• No biopsy procedures required

Required Experience & Skills

• Mammography procedures:

  • Screening mammography
  • Diagnostic mammography
  • Digital mammography
  • 3-D mammography
• Work setting experience: Outpatient
• Patient ratio: 10-15 patients

Certifications & Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• ARRT Advanced Certification
• Ohio Department of Health license (required)
• Digital Hologic (Tomo) knowledge preferred

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including:

  • Social Security trace
  • Counties lived/worked
  • Nationwide search
  • Sex offender registry
  • Motor Vehicle Record (if driving required)
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start, with specific Ohio codes for fingerprinting
• Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring required
• Education accreditation verification required immediately after contract signing
• Transcript or diploma verification required (including for foreign education)
• Background acknowledgement form and dress code/hand hygiene policy must be reviewed and signed

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (adult dose after age 11/12)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• TB questionnaire required annually in lieu of TB test renewal
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if low titer
• Hepatitis B: Titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemption requires documentation
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, PCP, propoxyphene)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declining) during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended

• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leader)
