Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Job - Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Overview

  • Traveler experience: First-time travelers accepted depending on experience

    • Scrub
    • Balloon Angioplasty
    • PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
    • Stents
    • Thrombectomy
    • Impella insertion
    • Left and Right heart catheterization
    • Obtaining vitals
    • Rhythm interpretation
    • Inpatient care
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
    • New Hampshire State License

Unit Details

  • Elective and emergent PCI
  • Pacemaker and ICD implants
  • IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump), Impella, STEMI patients
  • Monitoring skills are a plus
  • Open to either RCIS or RRT credential holders

Orientation and Documentation

  • Orientation depends on experience
  • Documentation system: EPIC
  • Scrubs: Any

Compliance and Background Requirements

  • Background check required within 30 days of start, including:
    • Social Security verification
    • National sex offender registry search
    • National criminal search
    • FACIS L3
    • Education verification
    • Criminal county/state searches (excluding NH counties; NH state police search required)
    • State of NH criminal background report
    • BEAS (Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services) background report for NH placements
  • Drug screen: 10-panel within 14 days prior to start (with a 7-day grace period)
  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Fit mask test annually (N95 or equivalent masks)
  • Immunizations and titers required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (True 2-Step PPD, Qgold, or Tspot within 1 year)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
    • Hepatitis B immunity or declination waiver
    • Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Apr 1) or approved exemption
  • Respiratory safety clearance required
  • Pass/fail dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 48 hours of contract signing for certain units
  • Medication and competency exams required (for internal purposes)

References and Documentation

  • Two current professional references within the last 3 years (one must be a supervisor)
  • Employment application and skills checklist required
  • Annual internal evaluation for travelers working 1+ year with Aya or agency

Additional Notes

  • SSA release and state-specific background releases required
  • Facility requires copies of professional licenses and certifications
  • Facility-specific immunization and exemption forms must be completed if applicable
  • Photo for badge (passport style, jpeg) required
  • Proof of auto insurance required for Home Health and Hospice Care candidates
  • Facility requires acknowledgment of OSHA education and pass/fail testing where applicable
