Travel RN Opportunity – Med/Surg Nurse
Location: Lander, Wyoming
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical
Job Description
- Provide direct, individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepare, administer (orally, subcutaneously, IV), and document prescribed medications.
- Monitor and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs.
- Record patients’ medical information and vital signs accurately and timely.
- Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective actions for adverse patient symptoms.
- Provide bedside care for a variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
- Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
- Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
- Participate in discharge planning.
- Utilize effective time management skills.
- Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have current Wyoming RN license.
- Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
- Candidate must be available to start by 12/29 or sooner.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Additional Notes
- Position is travel assignment.
- Facility may require floating to other units (confirmation needed).
- Work schedule, number of beds, EMR system, dress code, and other operational details to be confirmed during interview process.
This role is ideal for experienced Med/Surg RNs looking for a travel assignment in Wyoming with a 13-week contract.
