Travel RN Opportunity – Medical Telemetry

Location: Portland, Maine
Facility Type: Medical-Surgical Unit (24 beds)

Position Details

• Specialty: Medical Telemetry
• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift:

  • Day Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
  • Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 36 (weekend shifts as needed per unit)
• Call Requirements: None
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience & Skills

• Required:

  • 1 year of travel nursing experience

  • Inpatient acute medical-surgical experience
  • Telemetry experience
  • BLS certification
• Preferred:

  • Experience with PCA, epidural, wound vac, IV pumps

Unit Information

• Patient Ratios:

  • Day shift goal: 1:4 (max 1:5)
  • Night shift goal: 1:5 (max 1:6)
• Equipment: PLUM, Stryker
• EMR System: EPIC
• Float Requirements: Will float per hospital/unit float rotation guidelines

Education & Certifications

• BLS required
• Education modules include Stroke, SI/Restraints, telemetry, blood glucose monitoring
