Job Opportunity: PACU Registered Nurse (Travel Assignment)

Location: University of Vermont Medical Center (part of a large, teaching facility)
Contract Length: 32 weeks

Position Details

• Role: PACU RN (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Backfill assignment with a required start date of 12/29
• Shift Times:

  • 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM
  • 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Some Saturdays, holidays, and weekends required
• 40 hours per week
• No block schedules allowed
• Monday to Sunday schedule
• Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays

Requirements

• Must have critical care PACU skills with high acuity experience
• Experience with:

  • Critical care, arterial lines, multiple titrating drips, cardiac monitoring
  • Pediatrics and comfort with all ages, especially for night shifts
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the unit required
• Experience in a large, teaching hospital setting required
• EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years (mandatory)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Infusion specialty preferred

Additional Information

• Complete work history required for submission, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• COVID and flu vaccination declinations accepted with proof or declination documentation
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation
• Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April
