Travel RN ICU Position - North Richland Hills, TX

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU / CCU
• Location: North Richland Hills, Texas
• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Weekend rotating shifts, 7 PM - 7 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Call Requirements: No call required
• Floating: May float to other ICUs or rarely to PCU depending on volume and acuity

Unit & Facility Highlights

• Unit: ICU (650)
• Hospital Certifications: Magnet recognized, Stroke certified, Beacon award winner unit
• Unit Acuity: Very high acuity including ECMO, heart transplant, CABG, and other complex cardiac care
• Patient Care: Post CABG care, ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling: Every other weekend, overtime available

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience (previous ICU experience required)
• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification
• Skills: Hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, CPR, post CABG care
• Preferred: CVICU experience, Meditech experience

Procedures & Patient Care

• Multiple procedures performed under intensivist supervision
• Bedside shift report with whiteboard updates required
• High standards for professionalism and patient interaction; rudeness not tolerated

Dress Code & Appearance

• Scrub color: Royal Blue for RNs
• Nail policy: Clean and healthy nails; no artificial, gel, or next-gen nails
• Hair: Neat, clean, no extreme styles or colors; hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
• Facial hair: Must be clean and neatly trimmed
• Tattoos: Should be covered whenever possible; uncovered body art addressed individually
• Piercings: Only ear piercings allowed; no visible nose, tongue, or other piercings

Additional Information

• Floating policy allows movement to other ICUs based on patient volume and acuity
• Attendance follows company-wide policy
• The unit and hospital have received multiple recognitions including Magnet status and Beacon award for CVICU
• The hospital performs heart transplants and other transplant surgeries
