Job Description

• Replacing an existing staff member
• Patient Population includes a mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neurological patients, and CVA patients
• 12-hour night shifts, ending on Saturdays
• Orientation sessions occur every other week on Mondays
• Unit aims for 2-3 weekends per month, but this may vary based on unit needs
• Block scheduling is no longer available; weekend-only requests may be considered
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Cerner electronic health record system preferred
• Active VA or Compact nursing license required at start
• The hospital is a teaching facility; travelers will frequently work with students and new hires and are expected to support a positive learning environment

Additional Information

• Prior travel nursing experience is required for all positions
• Locals within 60 miles are not accepted
• 36 or 48 hour contracts available
• Assignments are 13-16 weeks in length
• Client may cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance due to census changes
• Limited return-to-office (RTO) options available

This position is ideal for experienced travel nurses comfortable with intermediate care patient populations and working in a teaching hospital environment.
