Job Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience to provide competent nursing care in a surgical and perioperative environment. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, direct patient care, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care, including emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Uphold professional practice standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical patient care, anesthesia types, and perioperative procedures.
• Prioritize and direct patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support Pre Admission Testing (PAT) processes, evaluating orders for appropriateness.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.
• Current RN license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must meet Occupational Safety/OMS physical requirements.
