Description

Travel RN - Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - MICU
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Description

16-bed high acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit
Provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients
Collaborative multidisciplinary care team focused on optimal patient outcomes
Emphasis on patient comfort, safety, and security

Schedule & Hours

Every other weekend required
Holidays as required by facility
Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week (36 guaranteed hours)
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (required)

Licenses

Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted)
Nursys verification required

Certifications

Required:
- AHA ACLS
- AHA BLS
- AHA NIH or Red Cross equivalent
Preferred:
- PALS (if working in pediatric unit)

Experience

Minimum 2 years nursing experience preferred
Will consider 18 months experience under highest level of professional license
At least 1 year experience in MICU or relevant specialty required

Dress code: Solid navy scrubs
