Job Details

  • Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
  • First-timers Accepted: Yes
  • On-call Requirement: Yes, one day per week plus one summer holiday and one winter holiday on-call (for true STAT emergencies such as stroke, spinal cord compression)
  • Weekend Requirement: Not applicable
  • Shift Lengths & Guaranteed Hours:
    • 3x12-hour shifts: minimum 36 hours/week guaranteed
    • 4x12-hour shifts: minimum 48 hours/week guaranteed
    • Shifts less than 12 hours: minimum 40 hours/week guaranteed
    • Note: Up to 24 hours may be called off without pay for 8-hour shifts per 13-week assignment; on-call hours count as called-off hours if not worked
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted (local radius rule: 70 miles)
  • Pending License: Accepted at manager discretion
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Travelers may be required to participate in holiday and weekend rotations; request RTO upfront if possible
  • Block Schedule: Accommodations at manager discretion

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) MRI certification required; ARMRIT will be considered
  • Special Skills:
    • IV start experience
    • Contrast experience
    • Experience with Siemens and Phillips MRI equipment strongly preferred

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

  • Background Checks:
    • Criminal background check within 12 months including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, sex offender search
    • State-specific searches required for Missouri (MO EDL Search, MO Family Care Safety Registry)
  • Health Documents:
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
    • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (annual renewal required)
    • COVID vaccination preferred
    • Drug screening within 12 months of start
    • Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
  • Fit Testing:
    • Respirator fit test completed onsite during first week of orientation (annual requirement)
    • OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (not required for some non-patient facing roles)
  • Orientation:
    • Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and checklists required (annual updates)
    • Confidentiality and security agreements must be signed prior to start
  • Additional Certifications (if applicable):
    • ACLS, PALS, NRP depending on unit requirements
    • NIH Stroke Certification for certain departments
    • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) for Behavioral Health & ER staff

  • Candidates must provide a passport-style photo for badge issuance
  • Skills checklist required
  • References: Two professional references required for new candidates
  • Candidates may be required to complete additional facility-specific training such as AbioMed Impella Online Training for ICU/CCU or Cath Lab staff
