Travel RN Opportunity – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Tertiary care regional referral hospital with Level 1 Trauma Center
• Specialized services include Level 3 Regional Intensive Care Nursery and High-risk Obstetrical Care
• Wide range of specialties including Bariatrics, Brain & Spine, Cancer Care, Cardiology, Critical Care, Maternity Care, Orthopedics, Pulmonary Care, Stroke Care, Trauma Services, Women’s Health, and more

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (Surgical Services)
• Shift: Days, varied shifts including 9-5, 11-7, 1-9, 3-11, and weekend daylight shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: Yes, 1-2 times per week, 8-hour call increments
• Float Requirements: As needed
• Patient Population: All ages
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Number of Beds in Unit: 22
• EHR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse license valid in Pennsylvania
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/HWC
• Experience: 1-2 years in OR or surgical services (higher end of range applies)
• Additional Requirements: Must be willing to accept on-call and off shifts as described

Preferred Experience

• Charge nurse experience for RNs
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Robotic surgery experience

• Orientation held weekly on Mondays
• Scrub color: Blue (provided)
• No casual wear allowed; professional attire required

Compliance & Screening Requirements

• Complete and clear background screenings required prior to start
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
• Department of Human Services Fingerprinting
• FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (within last 2 years or new)
• PA State Police Clearance (PATCH)

Prior Travel Experience
