Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position: MRI Technologist with experience in Radiology and Cardiology
  • Pediatric experience required
  • Proficient with GE MRI systems
  • Shift: 3x12 hour shifts
    • Saturday-Sunday: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
    • Monday: 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
  • Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
  • ARRT certification required
  • First-time travelers must have 3 years of experience if no prior travel experience
  • Weekend work as needed
  • Open to accommodating block schedules (Monday-Friday)
  • Local radius rule: 100 miles
  • Pending licenses not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
  • Driver’s license must be included with submission

Required Certifications

  • ARRT certification (MRI Tech) – AMRIT not accepted
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for certain units (check if applicable)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for pediatric areas, not required for techs
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for NICU and newborn areas if applicable

Licensure

  • State License: Tennessee or Multistate license required as applicable
  • CT Techs assigned to Tennessee do not require a TN state license, only a national certification
  • National certification required for MRI Techs (ARRT)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 60 days of start including:
    • Statewide, county, federal searches
    • Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
    • Sex offender search
    • Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (for TN facilities)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
  • Two recent professional references required
  • Performance evaluation required if employed with agency for 1 year or more

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year (required for some tech roles)
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
  • Immunizations required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for this facility)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed
    • Hepatitis B – 3 shot series, positive titer, or signed declination
    • Varicella – proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed
  • TB test: True 2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year, updated annually
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination preferred but not required

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
  • Dress code:
    • Navy blue scrubs for RNs
    • Caribbean blue for RRTs (specific locations)
    • Steel gray scrubs for Surgical and OB Techs
    • No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
    • CT Techs: Ceil blue top and pants with optional white lab coat or matching scrub jacket
    • RN Case Managers: Business casual with white lab coat, no jeans
    • Department Directors and other clinical leadership may wear business attire with lab coat when delivering patient care

Additional Notes

  • All Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission
  • All documentation must be current and compliant prior to start date
  • Locals are not accepted for this travel position
