Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greenwood, South Carolina
Specialty: Registered Nurse (PCU)
Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend shifts required
• Work setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Preferred charting system: EPIC
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – required for all travelers
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – required for PCU and similar units
• NIH Stroke Certification – required for PCU
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) if applicable

Compliance and Documentation

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Social Security Card or Number
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal
• Photo for badge required
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
• Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable)
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination possible with approval)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved declination (seasonal requirements apply)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption/declination

References and Evaluations

• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted) within the past year
• Performance evaluations required if worked over 1 year with the agency (collected by evaluations team)

Additional Notes

• Must complete onboarding modules prior to orientation
• Compliance with facility-specific onboarding and documentation requirements is mandatory
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification or equivalent required for ER (if applicable)
