Description

Cardiopulmonary Contract Position

Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust plan of care within a multidisciplinary team.
Provide explanations and instructions to patients and/or responsible persons regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge, ensuring understanding.
Accept reassignment to other units as necessary.
Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; serve as a role model for clinical practice.
Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care.
Provide respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.

Education & Certifications

Associate’s degree required
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Illinois State License
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Maternal Health Care (NRP-MHC)
