Medical-Surgical Nurse Travel Assignment

Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Job Details

Specialty: Medical-Surgical (general, ortho, neuro, and spine)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Day Shift: 06:00 - 18:30
- Night Shift: 18:00 - 06:30
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Usually applicable May-Sept and Nov-Jan; cannot request more than 1 holiday off during contract
Floating Requirement: First to float to PCU for a MSU assignment unless telemetry trained
Patient Ratio:
- Max 1:6
- Day shift Monday-Friday typically 1:5
Unit Size: 23 beds

Required Certifications and Skills

BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Experience or must-have skills in med-surg nursing

Additional Information

Possible required overtime: 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
