Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Call Requirements: No call
Unit: 3 North, 3rd Floor
Number of Beds: 32
Patient Ratios:

Day Shift: 5:1
Night Shift: 6:1

Job Description

Charge Nurse role on a Medical-Surgical unit (3N)
New unit opening with no current staff
Equipment used: Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry, Lifts
EMR system: Meditech
Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs with St. David’s Logo

Requirements

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Required Years of Experience: 3 years or more nursing experience (preferred)
Certifications: BLS (required), ACLS, Telemetry, Charge Nurse experience
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Hospital experience preferred
Personality fit: Open to feedback, owner mentality

Additional Information

Typical procedures: No routine procedures performed on unit
Staff type: RNs, LVNs, PCTs
Schedule: 4 weekend shifts per month
This is a travel contract position
Competitive market; new equipment and technology available on unit
