Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialist

Location: Gardner, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Experience & Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Massachusetts state license required; candidates with pending or conditional license accepted but must apply for temporary and permanent MA license upon offer

Work Schedule

• Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend and holidays
• No call or float requirements

• Meditech Expanse (Documentation, Communication)

Orientation

• 36 hours

Scrubs

• Any color

Required Certifications (AHA Only)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as required
• Tech Cert Verification – as required
• State License Verification – primary source verification required

Background & Authorization Requirements

• MA Statewide (iCORI) Release
• 7-year Criminal Background Check (including all aliases, counties, national, sex offender, education verification) within 30 days of start; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Education Verification or official transcript accepted
• Massachusetts Statewide iCORI Clearance (Attestation) within 30 days of start

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year (acceptable masks: 1870+, 1860, 1860S); onsite fit testing available if needed
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility guidelines
• TB Questionnaire annually in lieu of TB test
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series or positive titer; declination and vaccination schedule accepted if incomplete)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID vaccination booster documentation or signed declination

• References not required by facility but collected per standard
• Annual skills checklist required

This position is ideal for experienced respiratory or neuro diagnostics professionals licensed in Massachusetts who are comfortable with travel assignments and meet the outlined certification and health requirements.
