Job Opportunity: Surgical Services - CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Days

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - National Certification (NBSTSA) required at time of submission (NCCT not accepted)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy) as applicable
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) as applicable
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) as applicable
  • State License verification (primary source online verification required)
  • NURSYS Verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP as applicable
  • Tech Cert Verification - National as applicable
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA required)

Required Documents & Verifications

  • I9 form (for direct candidates)
  • Driver’s License or State ID
  • E-Verify (for direct candidates)
  • 7-year Background Check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
  • HHS/OIG check upon hire
  • Education Verification (must verify highest level of education)
  • Transcript/Diploma may be accepted as placeholder if education verification is pending
  • Fingerprinting (time sensitive for New Mexico placements only)
  • Photo for badge (clear headshot required)
  • Complete Employment Application/Resume
  • Unit Specific Skills Checklist (annual)
  • 7 Year Work History Verification

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit Mask Test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually (specific mask types accepted)
  • Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (2-Step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year of start; if positive, additional documentation required
  • TB Questionnaire within 90 days of start for positive results, renewed annually
  • Measles (Rubeola) - Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Mumps - Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Rubella - Positive titer or 2 vaccines; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B - Positive titer, series, or declination accepted; booster accepted if negative/equivocal
  • Varicella - Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history of chickenpox; boosters required if negative/equivocal
  • Negative 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Dose 1 and Fully Vaccinated Dose 2 if applicable) or approved medical/religious exemption required

Competency Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
  • Color Blind Testing (online version acceptable)
  • Competency Exam (minimum passing score 80% or Angoff score if higher)
  • Core Parts I, II, III (for subcontractors only; annual completion required)

  • Candidates must meet all facility-specific credentialing and compliance requirements.
  • Religious or medical exemptions for vaccines require escalation and approval.
  • Fingerprinting and orientation requirements may vary by state/location.
  • Documentation must be current and verifiable; records stating "per history" or similar are not accepted.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a surgical services role with robot experience in a travel/contract capacity, with a 13-week assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
