Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer - Fargo, North Dakota

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Certifications and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
• RDCS or RCS certification required
• NDMIRT certification required or willingness to obtain if not currently held
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Pediatric echocardiography (PEDS) experience required based on specific posting

Job Duties

• Perform inpatient and outpatient transthoracic echocardiograms
• Occasionally perform stress echocardiograms
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms

Equipment Used

• Philips Epiq, Affinity, IE33
• GE E95 and Vivid E9

Reporting Systems

• Epiq Cupid (reporting)
• Sectra (Cardiology PACS)

Schedule and Shift Details

• Mostly clinic and hospital shifts
• Shift start times between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM
• 40 hours per week, typically 8-hour shifts
• Staffed/call one weekend per month alongside another staff member
• On call one day per week
• May work alone after hours if called in

Work Environment

• Rotates between two separate campuses (never both in the same day)
• Orientation includes starting in clinic to learn protocols, then hospital for wayfinding (approximate duration: 2 weeks)
• Facility has approximately 500 beds across hospitals in Fargo and 5 outpatient clinic rooms
• Clinicians must badge in and out
• Scrub color: Gray

• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility may have adjusted pay rates
• Must disclose if previously employed by the facility; if so, last employment must have ended at least 6 months prior to application
