Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Location: Humansville, Missouri

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
• Administer procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Report treatment effectiveness and provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information accurately in electronic records.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings.
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to NBCOT, AOTA, and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year of OTA experience (higher value from description).
• Specialty Experience: Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings is required.
• Licensure: Active Missouri OTA license required (Compact license allowed).
• New Graduates: Accepted if Level II experience is completed (Level I observation experience alone is not sufficient).

Additional Information

• Standard 8-hour shifts.
• Adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements is mandatory.
