Job Description
Seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Operating Room (OR) procedures with proficiency in C-arm and O-arm coverage. The role involves performing X-ray procedures in surgical settings within outpatient, inpatient, Level I Trauma, and teaching hospital environments.
Work Schedule:
- 4x10 hour shifts
- 2nd shift starting at 10am or 11am
- On-call responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide C-arm and O-arm coverage in the Operating Room
- Perform X-ray procedures for surgical interventions
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams for optimal patient care
- Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to safety protocols
- Participate in ongoing education and training
Qualifications
- Valid Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification with ARRT registration
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Level I Trauma or teaching hospital settings
- Proficiency with C-arm and O-arm systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Required Certifications
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required depending on unit
- Other certifications may be required based on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, NRP)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
- Education accreditation verification
- State license verification within 30 days of start
- Annual review and acknowledgment of dress code, hand hygiene, ethics, and compliance policies
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination (adult dose after age 11/12)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire in lieu of annual TB test renewal
- MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable)
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer (medical exemption possible)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (no pending tests allowed)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31)
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager or formal leadership)
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Unit-specific competency exams may be required, including medication and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams
- Fingerprinting must be completed using specific codes and within 1 year of start; new fingerprinting required if break in service exceeds 90 days
